"You go faster alone, together you get further." This well-known saying shows the core of our work. Together with hard-working youth in the Netherlands and DR Congo, we set up wonderful projects in which we work together to help each-other.

4Watoto wants to offer the youth more opportunities. Through education and collaboration, 4Watoto ensures that both worlds learn more about each other and grow closer to each-other.

The vast majority of the 4Watoto volunteers are young people aged 16 to 25. The founder (Stan van der Weijde) was also very young when he founded 4Watoto, namely 19 years old. In addition, most of the teachers and social workers employed by The 4WatotoHouse are under 30.

At the foundation, many students get the opportunity to gain their first real work experience of the profession that they may want to have later, or to get a taste of working within a Non-profit organization. For example, students studying commercial economics can participate in the marketing team and students studying biology can participate in the biology course for the Education4All project.
